Urgency in our times
We are becoming less and less able to tolerate things nowadays.
We are not only intolerant of people’s behavior or of how long we have to wait. Even some foods have become intolerable to us.
It happens on every level.
Perhaps this is a reflection of our collective consciousness.
So, to check—to test—your own level of patience, try this little test with me: do this practice and let me know in comments how long you’ve lasted?
How comfortable are you with simply allowing things to unfold without needing them to happen immediately?
During Kundalini teacher training—we strengthen and regulate our nervous system.
As our nervous system becomes stronger and more balanced, we become calmer, more relaxed, and more able to tolerate the challenges of everyday life.
Our patience expands. We react less and respond more.
And this transformation doesn’t stay with us.
When we become calmer and more regulated, it naturally influences the people and environments around us—our families, our relationships, our homes, and the spaces we live in.
When we change our inner state, we can create a calmer environment around us.
