Description of Offering

Durga Hawan is a sacred fire ritual (havan) performed to invoke the blessings of Goddess Durga. It is conducted as part of Durga Puja, Navratri, or other special occasions dedicated to the Goddess. The ritual involves chanting Durga mantras, offering various sacred materials (like ghee, herbs, and wood) into the fire, and seeking divine protection, prosperity, and spiritual upliftment. Significance of Durga Hawan: 1. Seeks Protection – It is believed to remove negative energies, evil forces, and obstacles from life. 2. Invokes Strength & Courage – Goddess Durga symbolizes power, courage, and righteousness. 3. Brings Prosperity & Well-being – The ritual helps in attaining peace, wealth, and success. 4. Spiritual Purification – Fire is considered a purifier, and the chants elevate spiritual vibrations. How is Durga Hawan Performed? 1. Preparation: The sacred space is cleaned, and a havan kund (fire pit) is set up. 2. Sankalpa (Intention): The devotee makes a vow or prayer for a specific purpose. 3. Mantra Chanting: Powerful Durga mantras, such as Durga Suktam or Argala Stotra, are recited. 4. Offerings into the Fire: Ghee, samagri (herbal mixture), and other sacred items are offered. 5. Aarti & Prayers: The ritual concludes with an aarti and seeking blessings from Goddess Durga. Ram Navami marks the final day of Chaitra Navratri on 6 April 2025. Performing Durga Havan on this auspicious day grants the divine fruits of the nine-day Nav Durga Puja. It is believed that all heartfelt wishes offered with devotion in the Sankalp are fulfilled, and a protective aura of positive energy surrounds the devotees. By performing Havan and Puja on Ashtami and Navami Tithi, peace, happiness, and prosperity enter the home. Negative energies are dispelled, and the blessings of Maa Durga bring well-being to all family members. We will be conducting the Durga Hawan online, allowing devotees to participate from anywhere. The entire Yagya will be streamed live. Join us in this sacred ritual and receive the divine grace of Maa Durga. Please prepare ahead of time. a bit of rice, a coin, cup of water, flower head (could be from the garden). Sit in a quiet place, which has been cleaned beforehand. Sit in easy pose or in the chair.
